Historical Walk with Ed Gordon

Join us for a walking tour of Historic Academy and Maple Streets, featuring Sculptures by Cyrus Dallin on the Town Hall Grounds, led by Richard A. Duffy on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 2:00 PM

Sponsored by Walking In Arlington and led by local historian Richard A. Duffy, principal author of the 2004 report for the Academy/Maple Expansion of the Pleasant Street Historic District, the walk will explore this concentrated area containing Arlington’s widest variety of historical residential and institutional architectural styles. Entertaining and insightful stories of landscape development will complete the historic picture.

The route of the walk will be on mostly flat terrain, will last approximately 2 hours and will be held rain or shine. The tour is not suitable for children under 10 or dogs. Meeting point will be sent to registered participants. Group is limited to 30.

The cost of the tour is $10 per person and reservations are required. Proceeds will go to Walking in Arlington and Arlington Historical Society.
